Data in the different data sources that are using may have implicit spatial relations. I.e. addresses in one database may be located within areas in other databases. You may want to report assets based on maps from different sources or just look into maps which element types are within, overlaying, crossing, etc. other elements in the maps.
Spatial Workshop allows you to make implicit spatial relations explicit. You can make new Business Objects with attribute fields that contain alphanumeric or spatial data from other objects.
The user does not need to do complex analysis to find related objects. One click on the attribute field shows him all the related information that he needs.
Spatial Workshop supports the full range of SQL/MM Spatial operators (equals, disjoint, intersect, crosses, overlaps, etc.) alowing you to model complex Spatial Business Relations between data, potentially stored in different sources.
