Within Spatial Workshop you can model applications with a graphical user interface.
One of the many possible applications is to location data of interest on background maps and combines it with documents, websites, photos, maps, etc.
With just a few clicks you can model applications:
for yourself, to locate assets, cars, friends...
for real-estate brokers to locate their properties
for call centers to find their customers
for emergency services locating hazards
for network managers interested in network faults
for field workers looking for assets
managers who need an overview - and many others
Smart Tags on the map indicate that you can find additional information on the location of interest. When you hover over the points you can see pictures, maps, documents, url's, etc.
Locations of Interest
Spatial information is an important factor within your daily life or jobs. You may be interested in the location of:
your customer addresses for sales;
buildings to buy, sell or maintain;
components within networks;
assets in the field;
locations along roads;
or points of interest when you are on holiday;
etc. etc.

From simple points to complex structures
Spatial information may be simple points or complex data structure, like:
locations on a map
geographic and schematic maps presenting the same data,
elements on one map pointing to other maps,
networks running over multiple maps, etc.
Combining, viewing and analyzing this information therefore doesn't bring much when your only option is to overlay maps. This does not bring you the value you are looking for. What you would like to do is to combine maps, create new map elements and connect them to photo’s, drawings, other maps, etc.
Spatial Workshop supports advanced spatial features
With Spatial Workshop you can
create spatial relations between data from different sources
build your own spatial data models on the fly
present and analyze Oracle Spatial data models
get life access to large numbers of map files
browse complex spatial structures through multi-maps
